The story of PEPPER (Milagu')

Hi Friends, 
     Today we are going to know about the pepper. It's botanical name is Piper nigrum. 
      It belongs to vegetate family. Mostly harvested in 6 to 8 months. Apart from the pepper seed, the vine, leafs, roots are very useful for medicine. 
      Pepper birth place is South Asia, specially in western ghats of Kerala (India) and it grows in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia.

Different varieties of peppers are available in all over world with colour coding likely Red pepper, Black pepper, White pepper and Green pepper. 
      There are two types of peppers available and it's called as normal pepper and tail pepper. The peppers are very well dried and used for spices, medicine and Cooking.

In India mostly Black and White pepper will used for cooking as well as black mostly used for Tamil medicines. And use can see now days in all hotels dining with salt and pepper.
      In India there are different names used for pepper like in Tamil 'Milagu' in Malayalam 'Kuru Milagu' in Kannada 'Menasu' in Telugu 'Miriyalu' and in Hindi 'Mirch'. 
      Pepper is a tropical plant so most likely to grow in the south India climates. Spices pepper having the pepperine chemical and it's called as peppermint.
 Pepper is very good for digestion. So Peppers plays a important role in South Indian cooking. Especially in chettinadu cuisine for all vegetarian foods like Medhu Vada, Pongal, Rasam and all non vegetarian like pepper chicken, mutton pepper fry, and all non vegetarian cooking.
      In ancient times pepper only used for spices later our ancestors find out the good things from the pepper and they taught us to improve our immune system in our body. 
      Peppers used to relieve cold, hard cough, fever, stomach gas problems and it's eliminating food poison. 
      Pepper is good to purify the blood, it cures ashtma problems and constipation as well. 
      Pepper exceeds the limit and it becomes greed. So take less quantity for medicines or normal use with your well wishers consultant before use.
